Overview:

This will be a 1-day course for the AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID module. The main objective of our AutoCAD P&ID training is to teach you the basic commands necessary for professional 2D drawing, design and drafting using AutoCAD Plant 3D. Integrated AutoCAD P&ID software functionality enables you to create and edit P&IDs and reconcile underlying data with the 3D model.

With AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID training you will learn:

  • Adding a component or line to a P&ID drawing
  • Adding nozzles to a drawing
  • Working with control valves in a P&ID drawing
  • Attaching an off-page connector to a line segment
  • Working with tags
  • Working with annotations
  • Validating P&ID project drawings

Prerequisites:

Student will need a working knowledge of basic design or drafting procedures and terminology and general use of base AutoCAD, as well as working knowledge of the Windows operating system.

Completion of the Course:

At the completion of this course the student will have a good working knowledge of the AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID system and will be well on their way to begin creating standard 2D P&ID drawings.
