Overview:

This will be a 4-day course for the AutoCAD Plant 3D Piping module. Learn how to use the AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Navisworks software products to complete a plant design project. This course is comprised of lessons, hand on exercises, review questions, and ongoing support.

With AutoCAD Plant 3D training you will learn:

  • Introduction to AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Creating Projects and P&ID’s
  • Creating Structures
  • Creating Equipment
  • Routing Pipe
  • Adding Valves, Fittings, and Pipe Supports
  • Creating Isometric Drawings
  • Creating Orthographic drawings
  • Managing Data and Generating Reports

Prerequisites:

Student will need a working knowledge of basic design or drafting procedures and terminology. General use of base AutoCAD is acceptable, but a working understanding and use of 3D functionality within base AutoCAD is highly recommended. A working knowledge of the Windows operating system.

Completion of the Course:

At the completion of this course the student will have a good working knowledge of the AutoCAD Plant 3D piping system and will be well on their way to begin creating 3D models and 2D deliverable drawings.
